Dinesh Khanna is a Travel, corporate and Advertising Photographer with over 30 years of experience based in Gurgaon.

Dinesh lives with his wife Rachna who is an Advertising executive turned Interior designer and now a Kathak dancer, trainer.

He not only does commercial projects but he also focuses on his own personal work.

For advertising and corporate clients, he’s been shooting food, people, places, and interiors.

His personal work has been published in some of the popular publications such as Bazaar and Living Faith.

Over the years, his work has been showcased solo, as well as in groups, shows galleries from Delhi to New York.

Dinesh is a managing trustee of Nazar foundation and one of the Co-founders of the Delhi Photo Festival.

In the early years of his career, he sold calculators in Chawri Bazaar, quality checked garments in a factory in Faridabad, and he has also cleared tables in a Bar in New York.

He believes that all his early life experiences were as good as education if not better.

He has a degree in Economics from Delhi University.

He further worked as a Client Servicing Executive for 12 long years where he finally felt the burn-out.

At the age of 33, he left the job with the desire to become a professional photographer.

Since then, he has been involved in creating images for advertising, editorial, and corporate clients. Specifically in the area of food, still-life, people, travel, and interiors.

Here’s the list of solo exhibitions that includes all his personal work:

Ø  “In my own World” shown at IIC, Delhi; NCPA, Mumbai; Oxford Gallery, Kolkata; Varanasi and Bangalore.

“Living Faith” exhibited at India Habitat Centre, Delhi and Oxford Gallery, Kolkata in India. Also, at Sundaram Tagore Gallery in New York and by the Asia Society in San Francisco, USA.

“In my own World 2” shown at India Habitat Centre, Delhi.

“Colours – an Indian Language” shown at the World Economic Forum, Davos, Switzerland.

Here’s the list of Group Exhibitions that includes all his personal work:

“Divine Facades” – Architectural Photography from India at Impressions Gallery, York and Pitshanger Manor Museum, London. Also toured England and Canada for 2 years.

‘Click – Contemporary Indian Photography’ at Vadhera Art Gallery, New Delhi.

“3 Artists” at Falkenstern Fine Art & Atelier, Germany.

‘Where Three Dreams Cross’ 150 years of Photography from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh at Whitechapel Gallery, London and Fotomuseum, Switzerland.

Tirtha – A Spiritual Journey’ with Prashant Panjiar at Palette gallery, New Delhi.

“Rivers of Pilgrimage’ at Siddarth Gallery, Kathmandu, Nepal.

“Growing up in India” at Mondavi Center, University of California, USA.

“Re-imaging the People of India” at India International Centre, New Delhi and in France.

“Reciprocation” with Kathryn Myers at Gallery Art & Aesthetic, New Delhi.

“Images of Encounter” by Ekalokam Trust of Photography, India

“Indian Storytellers” at Under the Mango Tree, Berlin, Germany.

Group show by Wonderwall at the India Art Fair, Delhi.
